I reached here early morning. Even chokidar was brushing his teeth. The Main gate
recently made by the
Archeological Department of the Government of India was to protect the heritage. The
village was abandoned overnight along with many more villages of
Paliwal Brahmins. The architect of the
village indicates that Paliwals were rich and had a very
good aesthetic sense. The village is highly symmetrical . The lanes and roads
are intersecting giving a beautiful look to entire village. The step well in
the center and temple near the adjacent pond are examples of their prudent architect.
Once a girl of this village was so beautiful that King Of
Jaisalmer sent a proposal for marriage. The girl was not interested in
the marriage. King imposed many types of taxes to harass villagers.
Ultimately they all decided to elope with all their money and prosperity.
